Bush Doctrine At Work!

Now that President Bush has been resoundingly re-elected, his doctrine of introducing democracy where there was none is taking root. With stronger belief in America's resolve, post election, the middle east is bursting out with signs of democracy's enticing dream. Power of the people worked to rid Lebanon of their pro-Syrian government.

"Lebanon's Prime Minister Omar Karami has announced he and his government are resigning, two weeks after the murder of former PM Rafik Hariri.

The move came as crowds protested in Beirut, calling for Syrian troops to leave the country."

The pressure on Syria from America has seen some results with the capture of Saddam's brother;

"In a move viewed by some as an attempt to placate Washington, Syria played a role in the capture of Saddam Hussein's half-brother, Sabawi Ibrahim al-Hasan al-Tikriti, accused of directing the Iraqi insurgency from Syria.

Iraqi government sources said he was seized by Syrian Kurds in northeast Syria and handed to Iraqi Kurds before being taken into custody by Iraq's forces. Syrian Kurds are tightly watched by Damascus and are unlikely to have acted without its approval."

The joy on the faces of the Iraqi people were seen world wide, and the flood gates have opened wide. Even Egypt's President Hosni Mubarek has asked for a change to their constitution to allow for multiple candidates in their upcoming election. Never mind the fact that the only credible rival he has is in jail on some trumped up charges, but it's a start! There's even a feminist candidate being discussed. Like all feminists, Shrillary included, she is no friend of America;

"I am going to stand in the presidential election, not to win but to get the Egyptian people moving in favour of a reform of the constitution and to oppose corruption and American colonialism," she told AFP."

There are even signs of uprisings in Iran, though they are not widely reported. GOPbloggers report that there are rumblings that Iraq will declare war on Syria, as soon as their military is up to snuff. They know where these awful terrorists are coming from, and where they are getting their orders, and they want it to stop.

Just because the MSM is ignoring the good news in Afghanistan & Iraq, does not mean the powers that be have missed the fact of the changes there. The whole middle eastern despot cadre is running scared! The re-election of our President Bush has given the lovers and seekers of freedom an added boost of courage, and they are reacting everywhere.

For those of you who missed this heartwarming tear-jerker before, here's the link to the actual USMC approved story about the little girl who saved some marines' lives. It's a definite "must read"! Here's a taste:

UPDATE: After watching Britt Hume's show on Fox News tonight, I learned from our friend Charles Krauthammer that the Syrian economy is reliant upon the Lebanese economy. No wonder they want to hang on to their hold on that diverse economy! Their economy is essentially dead, and without the Lebanon, they have NO economy to speak of...hmmmmm.

60 Minutes vs. Fox News

Did anyone else notice that on 60 Minutes tonight, the soldiers they interviewed had American flags on their shoulders? I'd heard that soldiers going into Iraq were made to remove the flags from their uniforms prior to their deployment...and furthermore, these flags had the blue star field reversed from what it would normally be, i.e., the field with flags on the front of the uniform, rather than the reverse...but then, that was SeeBS. Did they super-impose the flag, in reverse, on the uniforms of the soldiers? They do that, the super-imposition of ads on the NBA games, the NFL, and the baseball stadiums...why couldn't they do it on the uniforms of our troops?

What brought it to the forefront of my mind, was a Fox News program just following Col. Oliver North's program, showing a special on the India Company fighting in Fallujah. Interestingly, there were no flags on India Company's uniforms.

It may not have made much of an impression on me, had the SeeBS program's portrayal of flags on the uniforms not been backwards of where they should have been. Are the people at SeeBS so anti-American that it never occurred to them to super-impose the flag in the proper direction on our soldiers?

UPDATE: I stand corrected. Mike tells me that the flag on 60 minutes was not on backward, but was put that way to indicate a flag flying as the soldier moves. It still did not answer my question as to why there were no flags on India Company's uniforms shown on the coverage on Col. North's program. Any ideas?

Fed Up?

For 30-40 years, we who consider ourselves reasonable, law abiding patriotic Americans, have quietly stood by while the radical left got more and more strident. It began with the Viet Nam war protests. If you remember their reasoning, and I do quite clearly, it was "who are we to impose our governing principles on the people of Viet Nam. Sound familiar? Didn't these same, now grey and decripit do-nothings say the same about the Iraqis and the Afghanis? What kind of damage did these so-called lovers of peace do to America and her veterans? They fought on the side of our enemies, and caused many more deaths than should have happened.

"Over 50,000 Americans were killed and many of those who returned suffered and still suffer deep physical and emotional scars. Many more veterans took their own lives, were treated as social outcasts or ended up on America’s streets among the homeless."

We vowed [meaning my generation who are on the "right" side] never to allow this to happen again. We will support the troops, and celebrate and honor them every way we are able. Fortunately, we have a President who is from our generation. He knows that part of the problem with Viet Nam was micro-management from the Washington D.C. The boots on the ground, and the Pentagon leadership had the war nearly won. Then the White House and D.C., plus the lefties in the MSM who were covering every move made by the long haired hippie maggot-infested peaceniks got involved, and the rest is history. President Bush has said from the start of his declaration of the war on terror, that he has given the job of fighting it to the experts.

We must have taught our children well, in some cases that is;

Slapdown on Shrillary!

You have just got to love the verbal bitchslap [UPDATE: Forgot the link...sorry!] given to Senator Clinton by a candidate for Prime Minister of Iraq;

"Hillary Clinton, as far as I know, does not represent any political decision or the American administration, and I don't know why she said this," Dr. Ibrahim Jafari, who is expected to become prime minister, told the Times of London on Thursday.

"She knows nothing about the Iraqi situation," he added. "

She made the comments during an interview last Sunday, in which she said, "I think that there are grounds both for concern and for, you know, vigilance about this," she told NBC's "Meet the Press."

"It is a historical fact that he, along with the Dawa Party, have had connections with Iran. ... There are also family ties and religious ties."

She really upset Dr. Jafari, who went on to say, "We are not at an American traffic light to be given a red or green signal,.....I am speaking on behalf of a collective decision. I will stop when the Iraqi people say to stop."

Leave it to the "worlds smartest woman" [gag] to start a world incident! We really have to convince Dr. Rice to run for President in '08!

Beirut's Berlin Wall

Have you heard the name Walid Jumblatt? He is the patriarch of the Druze Muslim movement, a Lebanese who has been no friend of the United States...that is until he saw the Iraqi people go jubilantly to the polls to vote, despite the grave dangers they faced if they did.

"It's strange for me to say it, but this process of change has started because of the American invasion of Iraq," explains Jumblatt. "I was cynical about Iraq. But when I saw the Iraqi people voting three weeks ago, 8 million of them, it was the start of a new Arab world." Jumblatt says this spark of democratic revolt is spreading. "The Syrian people, the Egyptian people, all say that something is changing. The Berlin Wall has fallen. We can see it."

Talk about vinidcation for our President! As freedom and self determination spreads throughout the long-time burr under our saddle, i.e.,the middle east, America will be safer.

My post yesterday was able to stir up some good old fashioned wrangling on a topic that has long been a victim of the PC police; discussing racism in America openly and honestly. A reader, Michael Thomas, had disagreed with a black man's take on Democrat vs. Republican and what they do for/against racism. The lack of black representation in the recent past Democrat administrations vs. the plethora of black representation in the recent past Republican administrations was not proof enough for Mr. Thomas, so I offered other considerations for him. That still did not convince him that Republicans are not racists, but somehow Democrats aren't either.

Racism is something felt deeply and personally. It has always been, to me, an intolerable condition. My father and my brother often displayed behavior that might be considered by some to be racist behavior and speech, and it sickened me even as a child. I was born "color blind", and grew up in southern California where our neighbors and school chums were black, hispanic, Japanese, Jewish, etc. It was a good place to grow up.

It was also in the 60's, which was the birthplace of "hate America first". It began slowly in school, when some teachers would suggest that the founding fathers were simply "rich, dead, white men". I watched the trend grow. I also saw the first signs of the welfare state. I saw the advent of ADC (Aid to Dependent Children). Instead of having an abortion, which had become legal and safe (supposedly), one could now have the kid and receive the aid, as long as one did not marry the father of the child. It was the beginning of the end for many black families. When and where was the welfare state devised? After years and years of voting against civil rights as a senator, Lyndon Baines Johnson was now having to sign it into law as President, since public opinion had swung heavily in favor of the legislation. He then instituted the welfare state as his revenge, IMHO. He was even said to have bragged how he had tied the black community to the Democrats for 50 years. I think the author of that article, Deroy Murdoch, is proof that those "50 years" are about up.

I have long believed it to be fundamentally racist to denigrate a people's self-worth by telling them they cannot make it without the help of the government. Be it white people or black people, it is wrong to suggest they need quotas or preferential college enrollment in order to succeed. That, Mr. Thomas, is why I believe the Democrats are racist.

Open Letter to Mike Thomas

I've tried not to make a habit of responding to commenting readers in this venue, but this is just too fun to pass up. Apparently Mr. Thomas graduated from a public school, because he's obviously a victim of a lack of historical perspective. Since his points are so easy to respond to, and because there is so much information available to anyone who wishes to become educated, I decided to respond in this way:

"That is a pretty disingenuous article as it fails to note what happened after LBJ pushed the Civil Rights Act through Congress - the segregationist Democrats in the South all became Republicans.And going back to the 1800s to try and paint current-day Democrats as pro-KKK is really pathetic. David Duke is a former Republican state legislator afterall."

David Duke is a pathetic example, Mr. Thomas, since you have former KKK leader Robert Byrd a senator in the Democrat (not Democrat-ic) party. Thank you for finding the link for me, however. A little digging at this site, and others [hat tip: Rosemary] will yield a bit of historical perspective, Mr. Thomas:

"The most prominent of these, the Ku Klux Klan, was formed in Pulaski, Tennessee, in 1865. Originally founded as a social club for former Confederate soldiers, the Klan evolved into a terrorist organization. It would be responsible for thousands of deaths, and would help to weaken the political power of Southern blacks and Republicans.

Racist activity in the South often took the form of riots that targeted blacks and Republicans." [emphasis mine]

I found it interesting that you did not have a comment about Dr. Rice's comment in that article, Mr. Thomas. You did, however seem to want to implicate President Reagan as being racist:

"One of the only post-WWII examples that he comes up with is Reagan signing the law that established the MLK Holiday. But what he fails to note is that it was two Democratic lawmakers - U.S. Reps. John Conyers and Shirley Chisolm - who wrote and sponsored the legislation and fought for 15 years to get it passed.At the time, there was wide speculation that Reagan might veto the bill because he was known to be opposed to it, but he opted not to as he was getting ready to run for re-election the next year."

I understand that you Donks do not mind spending American taxpayer dollars for naught, but President Reagan's reluctance to signing that bill was due to the addition of another federal holiday that would pay federal employees for doing nothing one other day of the year. He made that reluctance very clear at the time, but felt that the black community was forgetting Dr. King's message, i.e., being judged by "character" rather than "the color of their skin". A point Jesse Jackson, Charley Rangel and Al Sharpton seem to have forgotten!

Over the years, the MSM have vilified now deceased Senator Strom Thurmond as being racist, which is not true. He was a separatist, never a KKK member, and in his many years as senator showed any number of evidence that he was NOT racist. In the primary for Senator Thurmond's seat, Vernon Robinson ran as a Republican. Keep in mind, this was a REPUBLICAN PRIMARY race. Mr. Robinson, a black man, was called "a bigot, a liar, a religious kook, a "new brand of racist", a self hater, a Mexican hater, a homophobe, a zenophobe, and an embarrassment, and even likened me to Darth Vader, the unspeakably evil villain of the Star Wars movies." (quoted from a letter he sent to supporters, of which I am one). Who made these horrid accusations? DEMOCRATS! Al Sharpton made a special trip to his state to vilify him...in a REPUBLICAN PRIMARY!!! Heaven Forbid a black man leave the dumocrap plantation! Unfortunately this good man did not get the nod to be our Republican Senator from North Carolina. I truly hope and pray that he will not give up on political aspirations. We need more men like him! Oh, did I mention who Mr. Robinson's hero and mentor was? He was Strom Thurmond, Mr. Thomas.

I Miss Blogging!

Can't take long to write this, as I am on a shared computer, but I wanted to share some history lessons with readers. These were brought up by Deroy Murdock, a New York Cemmentator who is an advisory board member for Project 21. I can't find anything but the print copy of this informative article which he wrote in celebration of Black History Month:

* Sept. 28, 1868: Democrates in Opelousas, La., killed nearly 300 blacks who tried to foil an assautl on a Republican newpaper editor.

*April 20, 1871: The GOP Congress adopted the Ku Klux Klan Act, banning the pro-Democrat domestic terrorist group.

This article in its entirety can be found several places, none of which have my pitiful search methods revealed. It was on the House Policy Committee's site, and somewhere on the site of Rep. Christopher Cox, R-CA. I just don't have time (folks are piling up behind me to get on this computer! arrrrggghhh!) I did want to mention one more, a quote from Dr. Condoleeza Rice, "My father joined our party because the Democrates in Jim Crow Alabama of 1952 would not register him to vote. The Republicans did. My father has never forgotten that day, and neither have I."

I hope your searches for the entire article is more successful than mine! The article has many other historical dates that should have tied the Black community to the Republicans until present day.

Iraq's Election Results & Its Meaning to the USA

The results are in from Iraq. What do they mean? That will remain to be seen. In the coming days and weeks, we will see the immediate outcome, but the ultimate results will require years to decipher, as it did in America after 1776.

One thing that struck me was the projected 60+% for the Shi'ia majority did not materialize. The last figure I got was 47.6% for the Shi'ia party endorsed by Ayatollah Sistani. What that tells me is that what I have learned from ITM, and other Iraqi blogs: Iraq is primarily secular. The Iraqi people are far more interested in the freedom and democracy aspect of the election, than the potential for any one "sect" to be leader in their new democracy. The other thing this proves; MSM & the donks who said we'd end up with another Iranian-style theocracy were wrong AGAIN!

Another message from this election is what it reminded US, Americans. As the brothers at ITM put it:

"The high turnout in circumstances that were considered to be the most dangerous was like a candle that leads the road for the rest of freedom seeking people and gave lesson in courage and determination and reminds even those who lived their whole lives in democracies about the bravery of their founding fathers who struggled and sacrificed for the sake of their children's future and prosperity."

No one in our country is old enough to remember the trials and tribulations of our founding fathers. It is for SURE and CERTAIN, we are not taught the true history of our great nation in the present-day public school system, so the brave and courageous Iraqis taught us a lesson that should resonate even in the bastions of so-called educational institutes throughout America...or at least, remind them of why so many are opting for home schooling/private schooling of their children.

Arthur Chrenkoff has the whole round-up of good news from Iraq. If you want good news from the schools in the USA, you have to start a grass-roots group to get your state, county, etc., to offer you vouchers so that you can make the choice yourselves, and not leave it up to the teachers unions' indoctrination of your children.

What The Whining Is All About

A few days back, I mentioned the crybaby behavior of Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid. Aren't you curious about what caused that whining? I was. I found the reason at the RNC site;

Reid’s Social Security Record -- Voted For Higher Taxes On Social Security Benefits At Least Eight Times: "

It goes on and on and on....so what mean things were said? None. Then what was he so upset about? Easy. The things that Reid said have come back to haunt him! Note how each of the quotes provides the source for it? Note how nothing of a personal nature was said about Senator Reid? Notice that the left always whines when we remember what they said? Especially when it is just the opposite of what they are saying today?

They have called President Bush every ugly name imaginable, including "Hitler-like", "fascist", etc. Have you ever hear President Bush whine about the ugly name calling? No. Yet the donks whine when their own words are used to prove who they are: Liars.

Heeding the Warning

Our friend, Sarmad, at Road of a Nation, has a warning for America and American taxpayers, whom he considers "friends",

While Sarmad's English is improving with every post, it remains sometimes difficult to decipher his meaning. Not in this post, however. This should be a wake-up call to companies in America with business over there. Note to said companies: Gentlemen, Ladies, you think the guys from Enron got in trouble? Don't fool yourselves that the Justice Department will allow this to go unnoticed. Get a handle on it, or face the music down the road.

Another Topic

We have witnessed another miracle as Sarah Scantlin woke from her 20 year sleep. You have to know that the parents of Terri Schiavo are very very happy too. They have been fighting Terri's husband's turning off her feeding tube for years. Leftist judges keep overturning every attempt to save Terri, with utter disregard of the facts. Among those facts are testimony by her girlfriends that Terri was going to tell him she wanted a divorce the night she entered the coma, or the fact that he is living with a woman and their kids. Has it never occured to this bum to just divorce her?

Pajamahadins Strike Again!

I did not take part in this blog swarm because frankly, everytime I thought about what Eason Jordan contended, I wanted to upchuck! I am, however, supremely elated that my fellow bloggers succeeded in ousting this anti-American journalist from his cushy office at CNN.

"Alas bloggers and blog readers we have yet another "Dan Rather moment," this time at CNN by Eason Jordan who, like his network and Ted Kennedy, considers the U.S. and our armed forces as the enemy of freedom."

While I was able to give my own anecdotal evidence in the Rathergate affair, there was nothing I could really add to the blog swarm other than shared outrage. On the slim chance you have been in a cave for awhile, and were unaware of the hullabaloo, here is a thumbnail roundup about it:

"Rony Abovitz, proprietor of The World Economic Forum Weblog, reports Eason Jordan, CNN’s Chief News Executive, has accused the American military of deliberately executing twelve journalists in Iraq.

During one of the discussions about the number of journalists killed in the Iraq War, Eason Jordan asserted that he knew of 12 journalists who had not only been killed by US troops in Iraq, but they had in fact been targeted.

Not satisfied with saying this once, Mr. Jordan repeated himself, providing ammunition to the anti-American contingent in attendance at Davos.

He repeated the assertion a few times, which seemed to win favor in parts of the audience (the anti-US crowd) and cause great strain on others... Many in the crowd, especially those from Arab nations, applauded what he said and called him a "very brave man" for speaking up against the U.S. in a public way amongst a crowd ready to hear anti-US sentiments."

Congrats, Kudos, and a rowdy, "shiver in your boots, MSM" to all the bloggers who succeeded again at showing what the new media is all about!!

Tactics AGAIN?

These guys are making today's thread entirely too easy on me. Take a look at this article to see what is in store for any other donk who cooperates with the White House. You'll see why the left is fighting so hard to feed disinformation to their base on Social Security reform.

"Ryan said he had been working with friends on the "other side of the aisle" who were favorable toward his solution, [social security] but he faced an enormous problem: intense pressure on his colleagues from the minority leadership.

"We were in planning stages [with friendly Democrats]," said Ryan. But each essentially told him: "I like what you're doing. I like this bill. I think it's the right way to go. But my party leadership will break my back. The retribution that they are promising us is as great as I have ever seen. We can't do it."

Ryan said he believed the only thing that can assure passage is an outpouring from America's grassroots. "

A few thoughts come to mind; 1) They obviously did not learn a thing from Daschle's loss of his 20+ year senate seat. 2) They really believe what their "god" Kennedy told them, i.e., they are not the majority in the government, but they represent the majority of the people. 3) They are starting to believe all of their own concocted "conspiracy theories". Whatever it is they are doing, they do not realize they are disintegrating before our eyes.

The bottom line is that we need to heed Rep. Ryan's advice; get going with the grassroots outpouring, folks! Write your lily-livered donk senators and representatives. My staunch GOP senators and reps have already been written to, in no uncertain terms. I have cancelled our AARP membership, and after making sure that I was indeed being recorded, told them the reason for cancelling our longtime membership. It was due to their position on Social Security reform. I made sure they knew that I want my sons and grandsons to have a program they can will to their children, rather than sending it back to the wasteful spending of the government after their deaths.

Speaking of Tactics!

As discussed earlier today, the left is particularly nasty when they feel some of their own, i.e., blacks, cross party lines. What about what they do when they feel attacked? [Donk-speak for calling them on their tactics, and with them, it's all about "feeling".] They whine and cry about being "picked on".

"Standing in the Republican-led Senate, Reid called on President Bush personally to repudiate and pull "a hit piece" against him by the Republican National Committee.

"What they want to do is just like (what) they did to Daschle," Reid said.
Republicans last year effectively branded Daschle, a South Dakota Democrat, as a "chief obstructionist" to Bush's agenda on Capitol Hill and persuaded his constituents to vote him out of office. "

Translation? "WAAAAAHHHH, President Bush, make them stop! They're not being nice to me! Boo hoo!!!!" They are truly pathetic..

Tactics of the Left

Ask Bill Cosby, my all-time favorite comedian, how the left punishes blacks who don't toe the Democrat party line, and dare to question them and their tactics.

"Do I want everybody to know that he had his dirty paws all over me? No, but I don't think it's right that they're going to disregard this woman and her allegations," she added."

Go figure, a Los Angeles female lawyer coming up with something she says happened 30 years ago. How can that be? What horrible sin could he have committed that would cause this reaction from the left?

"In the presence of NAACP President Kweisi Mfume and other African-American leaders, comedian Bill Cosby took aim at blacks who don't take responsibility for their economic status, blame police for incarcerations and teach their kids poor speaking habits. "

Dr. Cosby, please Sir, you can't say that! Don't you remember that NAALCP and the donks have been telling people that the cause of such things as "economic status" and black incarceration, not to mention poor black schools were all the fault of the Republican's plot to keep the black man down? You can't tell the truth! Look what they've done; they came after you with a Canadian female and a Los Angeles female attorney. Don't you remember what they did to Dr. Condoleeza Rice? To Clarence Thomas? You have to be more careful, your friends on the left can be really mean if you cross them.

Do you remember that reporter who asked the logical question about how the dumocraps can say, on the one hand, that the economy is terrible, and then on the other say that social security is not in crisis? Well they dug, and they dug and they came up with;

Under the headline "A Voice of the New Media: The Voice Goes Silent," Gannon wrote on his personal Web page that because of the attention, "I find it is no longer possible to effectively be a reporter for Talon News," and that he is quitting "in consideration of the welfare of me and my family." Gannon added in a brief interview that "my family has been victimized" and he wanted to "put some separation between Talon News and the White House."

The Left continues with its usual tactic, i.e., destroy your opponent with the politics of personal destruction.

Pulling the Strings Together

I write frequently about the left wingbats, and their varied and sundry causes; from PETA to Green Peace, to the advocates of the ridiculously anti-American Kyoto treaty (I could write a book on that garbage!), to the fruitcakes who want to police our food, our weight, our daily TV watching habits, and I could go on and on and on about the "causes" of the left. And we wonder why all of these lefty loons are dumocraps and hate America collectively? Someone finally pulled all of their collective strings together; [Hat Tip: The Belmont Club]

It makes perfect sense too, especially if you go back to the diverse crops of numbnuts lining the streets of Washington D.C. on Inauguration Day. One group is pro-abortion, the group next to them are anti-nuclear, one further down is pro gay rights, and so on ad infinitum. And they all have the same thing in common: Hate America First, and George Bush above all.

For Those Who Live In The Parentheses States

If you are tired of hearing your lefty lib pals complain about Major General Mattis, USMC, I want you to show them his speech to the troops in March 2003 as they were about to invade Iraq:

This is the caliber of man we need commanding our troops, so if your wienie-brained, limp-wristed lib friends didn't like it when he said, "Actually, it's a lot of fun to fight. You know, it's a hell of a hoot. ... It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right upfront with you, I like brawling...You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn't wear a veil. You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway. So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them.", at a recent military forum, show them the measure of the man in this speech. Then tell them to shut up about him!

Here It Comes!

As predicted, the howling and braying of the donks has been ratcheted up as full pitch Hee Haw! In this American Progress [the word "progress" gives them away, doesn't it?] report they quote such bastions of individual thought as The St. Augustine Times. Weren't they the ones who were proud to take the American Socialist's money for ads against President Bush? Now THAT is reliability. Then there are others such as The Cleveland Plain Dealer, and the Detroit Free Press who are doing their masters' bidding even before the usual subjects, i.e., Kennedy, are on the stump. You just have to know that their fax numbers are on speed dial at the DNC, so the talking points can all go out at once. Yet they continue to insist they are not biased. I freely admit my bias, but the lefty wingnuts at all the MSM outlets, still want us to believe a myth.

Speaking of Senator Kennedy, take a look at this picture and tell me what jumps out at you. Really. Please comment on what you see in that picture that gives us a message from our buddy Teddy. I'd really like to know if it's just me. This article goes point for point on the "worst of the worst", such as this one;

"The President says expanding coverage for the uninsured is a priority but he provides $20 billion less than he proposed last year."

Translation: The $20 billion less means the President did not raise the amount to the entire "cost of living" percent that is always done in budgets, i.e. a "reduction in the increase". To the donks, this means a "cut". Only in D. C., can you call what really is a hike a "cut". The rest of us see that more money in this budget, than the last budget, is called a HIKE! The difference between today, and a few years ago is the New Media. The references and reports coming out today indicate that Teddy is fuming. Awwww, did we make him sad? They just can't get away with anything anymore!

Do you think we'll hear any news on this front? Naw...it'd make the President sound too much like a "good guy". Know why I know? This is the 2002 budget, and not a peep from the left in the three years since it was included! Hopefully, President Bush has learned this lesson, "Do Not Try To Be Nice To Those People!" As witnessed, they just turn around and stab you in the back!

Ready for the Onslaught?

For months, the donks have been braying about the deficit, and how nothing is being done to cut it. Of course they ignore projections which show they've been cut in half in the past year due to the soaring economy. When they speak of wanting the deficit trimmed, the translation to that is, "cut the deficit with a tax hike". Today President Bush's budget goes to congress. You thought you heard braying before, you are about to hear an all out Hee Haw Chorus!

In his State of the Union speech, and on his stump speeches since that speech, the President laid out his plans to cut programs which are either redundant or have been shown not to work, not to mention some programs which should have ended when they were mandated to end. For instance, remember that Clinton program that would offer "seed money" for communities to expand their police forces? It was to have been phased out in 4 years. That was 8-10 years ago, and it's still being funded. But knowing our donk pals as we do, they are going to scream bloody murder when they hear about that reduction. How about if we script a speech we'll hear from one of them in the coming days, "He got us into a war for fraudulent reasons, now he's trying to pay for it by endangering our neighborhoods." Sound about right?

What about those school programs that are double and triple funded, with redundant programs? Part of the budget will get rid of the redundant programs in schools. You know in your gut how Ted Kennedy will react to that, don't you? Taking money out of schools? Give me a break. You can write this one in your sleep, you've heard it so many times.

So buckle up, Folks! Don't fall for the scare tactics and usual rhetoric. The budget is out there for all to see, and if you have any questions about it, where your particular interests are concerned, do your research. The answers are here, on the internet, in any of an abundance of sites and sources. It's disasterous for us to allow the Dan Rather types of the world do our critical thinking. Let's do our homework, and put them in their place, i.e., the ash heap of history.

Super Vote Sunday vs. Super Bowl Sunday

It'll have to be a nail biter of a game today, in order to come anywhere near as close to the exciting goings-on last Sunday in Iraq! Enjoy, everyone. Congratulations to the brave Iraqis who decided to come together to make a winning team, and revel in America & her coalition partners' role in referreeing the birth of the new democrat nation of Iraq.

My friend, Tom, at The Redhunter has asked this week's question at Homespun Bloggers:

"Do you think that the elections in Iraq vindicated President Bush's decision to invade Iraq?"

Off the top of my head, I answered "Heck YES!", but quickly realized, with the American Left having fallen off the loonie truck into a just plain hateful gutter, they will never admit it. Witness Senator Kennedy's latest rant I posted in the earlier post, preceding this one.

That having been understood, I wondered if "vindicated" was the best word to use? I believe that anyone who has taken the time to read the 9/11 Commission Report knows that his decision to invade Iraq was "vindicated" by that commission, much to the dismay of Jamie Gorelick. So perhaps the truth of the question, is "did it vindicate the president's vision for the Middle East?". In answer to that, you need look no further than the reaction of the Iraqi people. In reading the many Iraqi blogs I mentioned in today's earlier post, their appreciation and gratitude posted on their blogs, in their faces & proud presenting of their purple fingers on Sunday's coverage of the election, plus the reaction of a town who turned out en masse to rid themselves of the thugs who came to "punish" them for voting, the answer to that question is a resounding YES!

The clarity and vision of President Bush is really what the left leaning loonies hate. No "nuances", no "beating around the Bush" [pun intended]. Simply speaking, "What you see is what you get." They absolutely HATE the fact that when he says he's going to do something, by God he MEANS IT! They have been deceiving the American people for many years, so they cannot stand that there is a someone in the White House who says what he means, and means what he says. That's a very hard act to follow, and it sets a bar they don't even want to try for! Adding insult to injury is "the new media", i.e., Fox News, talk radio, and bloggers. Is it any wonder they keep getting loonier and loonier? No one believes their nonsense anymore! Bummer!

What really frosts their bananas is that because of the President's decision to go into Iraq, their beloved UN has been seen for what it is, a corrupt and evil body that has aided and abetted terrorism, ignored genocide, and has been counterproductive wherever it has gone, not to mention wasting entirely too many of our taxpayer's dollars! Saddam's irritating habit of documenting everything he did, has shined the light of truth on the UN's shady dealings. A door has been opened by President Bush that no amount of "nuancing" by the left can close! Tsk...tsk...tsk

I'm Back!

Another Update: [See what happens when I've been gone for any period? I'm all over the place looking for interesting things to post!] Saif, at Iraqi Humanity, shares his experiences on the day of voting. This young man is a doctor, and he has set up a group who are helping to provide much needed hospital supplies. If you've a mind to help, go add a few bucks to the pot.

Update: Clinton knew about Oil for Food in '98! No wonder Kofi wants Slick Willie to take his office over for him; Willie will provide the required CYA for Kofi, since he's culpable as well! The "tip of the Iceberg" could be covering up more than we even suspect! CNN didn't consider what this story could do to their buddy? Hmmm.

I've really got to quit putting it off, and invest in a laptop! When I get home the e-mail boxes are jammed, it takes forever to clean them out. That's nothing to the frustration of not being able to vent my spleen when I hear Ted "The Bloat" Kennedy do his best to undermine our country's efforts in every area he thinks he can hurt the President! Then add insult to injury by demanding that 12,000 to 15,000 troops be brought home immediately, knowing damned good and well that is the size of the contingent sent to prepare for and oversee the recent successful election in Iraq. That way, when they bring home the election specialists, he can say the Pentagon and the President are paying attention to his moronic raving!

The man is patently transparent! Are the Massachusetts ballots pre-marked for sKerry and Kennedy, a la Syria? Surely, the people of Massachusetts can't be intentionally sending this duo of 60's anti-war relics back to the Senate on purpose, could they?

On a good note, Alaa, of The Messopotamian has this to say to Americans and especially to our President, after the historic and miraculous elections in Iraq;

What we have witnessed is something amazing. I am an Iraqi and a Baghdadi and should know, and deep down in my heart I knew; yet I must admit that I did not expect all this. The common Iraqi citizen has taken all by surprise, including those of us who are indigenous to this land."

Alaa has historically been one of those bloggers who was hopeful for Iraq's future, but not always optimistic, so this was beautiful to see! When they astounded themselves, it is even more wonderful to behold. He goes on to tell of stories untold by the MSM.

"There were amazing scenes; not very likely to seen anywhere else. There were acts of heroism. Abdul Amir Kadhim, saw a man whom he suspected to be a suicide bomber, he threw himself on the man before he could get to the waiting line of people; and sure there was an explosion and this young man gave his life to save the others. Prime Minister Allawi paid tribute to this heroism.

At one station there was a suicide attack and several people fell; when people of the neighborhood heard of this, the waiting line suddenly swelled to three times in size; people rushed out of their homes and came running to wait in line; it was their way to express their defiance and anger at this crime.

The examples of bravery and courage are too numerous to recount. People took courage from each other, as people came out others watched and did not want to be left out. It was something incredible to watch. Yes this was a historic day, a day to remember until our dying day.

With one stroke, in a single day, the silent majority spoke and answered all the pundits and doubters, and those who spoke on their behalf. Yet we have been telling you this all along; we have been telling you ever since this blogging movement started.

Do you now see that we were not representing minority views, that we were not some CIA agents trying to make propaganda?" [paragraph insertions are mine, for better emphasis]

Yes, Alaa, they spoke volumes to all the naysayers the world over. And yes, it's true, the lefty wingnuts have actually gone to many of the Iraqi blogs, and accused them of being CIA, etc., which says more about the lefty wingnuts than it does about the Iraqis who are brave enough to blog, in spite of warnings from terrorists that they will be killed for doing it.

I am among a great number of blog readers from all over the world who can hardly wait for the day that Iraq is an open and welcoming country to visit. I am looking forward with eagerness to attend the camel bbq promised us by Sam at Hammorabi. Someday, I want to visit the birthplace of civilization that was and is Messopotamia, so that I can welcome it to the world of great democracies, despite the likes of Ted (hic) Kennedy.

If you think Americans are upset about the UN, read what Sam has to say about them. Sam, I second that emotion!

Has Enough Been Said?

I know you have heard about Ward Churchill, and all of the garbage he has spewed, the uproar on two campii,

Particularly offensive to many was Churchill's reference to people killed at the World Trade Center as "little Eichmanns," an allusion to Nazi bureaucrat Adolf Eichmann, a chief facilitator of Hitler's Final Solution. "

So why bother to bring it up again? Because it really REALLY upsets me that it took 3 years for this affair to bother CU's community! Why were they not enraged when he first published it? As a native of Colorado, I'm incensed that this 1/32nd fractional "native American" was even tenured! And to head the ethnic studies at a college in a state where there are a plethora of REAL native Americans, all of whom are being offered a free college education, is a travesty! This man teaches how to hate America!

Now on a happier note, many of you know I have adopted a soldier in Iraq, namely Sadr City, and he sent me his reaction to Sunday's momentous election;

"And history has been made thanks to the United States, the country that everybody hates so dearly. HA! Russia's response to that day was more than enough to swell our little heads. The whole world apologies for disbelieving in our might. Our section was secured. No violence here at all. " He wrote to me recently and told me I'd had "an impact" in his life. He doesn't realize what an impact he's had in mine. Someday, I hope to publish a picture of he and I together. Here is what I wrote back to him,

"Son, you have every right in the world to have a swelled head! What you and your fellow soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen have done is to show the world that it need not remain in bondage, that creating democracy is a matter of heart & courage, with a little help from the United States military! And believe me, the neighbors of Iraq are shaking in their turbans! Someday you will be able to tell your grandchildren how you helped to change the world for the better!

We stayed glued to the TV all day, watching Fox News cover the celebration dances, and proudly displayed inked fingers. They wore them like badges of courage. We saw the long lines of men and WOMEN in line to vote, knowing they were sitting ducks. The sites of sons carrying their elderly parents, sometimes miles, so they could vote! You guys gave them the cover that kept them mostly safe, but they had to find their own courage to leave the house and go stand in long lines to vote, and they did!! I am sporting my own inked finger, in support of you and the Iraqis who triumphed! Dad Butch said that it was more fun than watching the Super Bowl! We rejoiced in your success, and prayed for your safety.
